Qualifications and Skills
A business degree or equivalent experience is required. Prior loan processing experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow established procedures & policies in securing mortgage and consumer loans.
  • Work to market new & existing products according to the Bank's strategic plan.
  • Provide superior customer service & contribute to an environment of teamwork & excellence, through effective communication & cooperation.
  • Performs the functions of the new accounts area, including opening new demand deposit accounts, CDs, IRAs and other retail banking products through a broad understanding of bank products, cross sells additional bank products and refers customers to other areas of the bank, including Wealth Management.
  • Secondary market experience including all government financing (FHA / VA / RD)
  • Coordinates consumer loan processing from the period of application through approval and closing in a timely manner, while providing quality customer service

Liberty National Bank has a position open for a Teller / Customer Service Representative at the Sioux City, IA location. Hours are typically Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Qualifications include basic computer skills, money handling, highly organized, ability to multi-task, flexible & friendly. Prior banking experience is beneficial. Responsibilities include performing all types of teller transactions and providing exceptional customer service in all areas of deposit banking.

Hourly wage is negotiable depending on experience.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for the right candidate to work for a National Bank (with South Dakota trust powers) that desires to expand its Wealth Management Division. We are Liberty National Bank headquartered in Sioux City, IA with branch offices located in Des Moines, Okoboji, and South Dakota (Dakota Dunes, North Sioux City, Elk Point and two branches in Sioux Falls). This position is available in any of our bank markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new Wealth Management client relationships through proactive sales and relationship management efforts.
  • Facilitate the referral of high net worth clients and prospective clients to the Wealth Management Division, including investment management, trust / fiduciary services, and private banking services.
  • Actively participate in sales and development of trust, investment management, and private banking prospects.
  • Initiate contacts for developing and establishing new investment management agency, rollover IRA, personal trust and custodial business.
  • Meet with prospective clients to discuss Wealth Management Division products and services, and maintain contact with clients and organizations regarding account performance, administrative matters, tax planning and other issues to ensure the client's financial goals are being achieved.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with numerous sources of new business referrals and centers of influence, including bank personnel, attorneys, accountants, financial services professionals and various social contacts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum 10 years of direct client contact with wealth management, trust, investment management and sales experience in the financial services industry.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, networking and relationship management / sales skills.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a very team-oriented environment along with trust officers, investment officers, banking officers and bank operations personnel.

The Wealth Management Division of Liberty National Bank located in downtown Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an Operations Manager that is hard working and motivated. Prior Wealth Management operations experience is a plus.

Wealth Management Operations Manager Responsibilities include:

  • Supervision and direction of the daily functions of the Wealth Management Operations Department, including data input, managing complex transactions, execution and settlement of securities trading activity, verifying accuracy thereof, wire transfers, account maintenance, account statement preparation & review, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting with year-end tax reporting requirements.
  • Assist Trust Officers with opening new accounts, including data input, preparation of standard legal documents, applications and reviews.
  • Assist Trust Officers in administering complex personal and/or life insurance trusts, investment agency accounts and IRA's, including researching information & data, preparing beneficiary withdrawal notices & maintaining account files.
  • Prepare meeting materials as assigned to include agenda & supporting reports.

 Wealth Management Operations Manager Requirements include:

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, CPA preferred, or minimum 5 years of related experience with a Wealth Management Operations Department.
  • Expertise with the FIS Charlotte trust accounting system preferred, or expertise with another major trust accounting system a plus.
  • Possess excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • Very organized.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Flexible to changing needs.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once & spot various operational or administrative issues & resolve with assistance of the Trust Officers.
  • Possess team building skills.
